Kelli Rodriguez

Ballet and Tap Instructor

At the age of three, I took my first ballet and tap class and have loved dance ever since.  Throughout my childhood and teenage years, I danced competitively and had the opportunity to study under amazing choreographers and dancers from across the nation both in convention settings and in our private studio.  As a competitive dancer, I was a part of a championship company and won multiple national titles.  I was also afforded multiple performance opportunities such as dancing in a number for the Serenade pre-show in downtown Charleston, providing entertainment in multiple pageants, and even leading the entertainment and dancing for a bar mitzvah (which was a lot of fun)!  Dancing the role of Clara in The Nutcracker at the age of 15 is without a doubt one of my favorite dance experiences ever though and is a memory I will never forget.  I began to share my love of dance through teaching at the age of 18 and I continue to enjoy working with students as they discover their passion for dance.  Lyrical is my favorite style and I am always excited to get into the studio and let the music and movement take over in my classes. My main goal in teaching dance is to glorify God first and foremost, and to connect with my students through a shared love of the art of dance.  I am happily married to Frank and we have two beautiful dancing daughters, Amber and Briana.
